Dr. Steffen Lohmann is head of department Enterprise Information Systems at Fraunhofer Institute for Intelligent Analysis and Information Systems IAIS and associated member of the Smart Data Analytics group of the University of Bonn. His main research areas include Semantic Technologies, Knowledge Engineering, Data Integration and Information Visualization. At Fraunhofer IAIS, he is heading the business unit on Enterprise Information Integration concerned with research and development in areas such as Industry 4.0, Internet of Things, Enterprise Knowledge Graphs, and Smart Data Integration. Steffen holds BSc and MSc degrees in Applied Communication and Media Science and a PhD in Computer Science. He is co-author of more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific publications, co-founder of a number of software and research projects and initiatives, has served in different functions for major international conferences and journals, is an active member of scientific and industrial committees, gives talks and consultancy, and organizes events in the above topic areas.
